Gourmet Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb of lean ground beef or sirloin
  • 1/2 lb ground rib-eye steak (ask your butcher to grind the meat if you do not have a meat grinder at home)
  • 1/2 lb ground brisket (ask your butcher to grind the meat if you do not have a meat grinder at home)
  • Brioche buns or a good quality bun
  • White American cheese
  • 1 sweet onion (sliced)
  • 2 fresh jalapenos (sliced)
  • 6 strips of crispy bacon
  • Leafy green lettuce (washed and dried)
  • Roma tomatoes (sliced)
  • Mustard or mayo

Instructions

1

Mix the Ground Beef or sirloin, ground rib-eye steaks and ground brisket (trim the fat off the steaks and brisket before grinding)

2

Add seasonings, S&P, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder (really whatever you want here)

3

Make into patties, this should make 4 large patties or 6 small patties.

4

Let the patties sit in the fridge for 30-minutes so they set up and form.

5

Then let the patties come close to room temp so that your cooking process and temp is accurate.

6

Cook on the grill or on a grill pan until desired temp (I prefer medium well, that usually takes around 15-20 minutes)

7

Cook the bacon until crispy in a cast iron skillet, remove and move to a warmer.

8

Cook the sliced sweet onion and jalapenos in the bacon grease until caramelized, remove from the grease and set aside.

9

Wash and chop your fresh veggies

10

Create the burger stacking of your dreams.

11

Enjoy!
